Dec 28, 2017 — The price of all national forest visitor maps will increase on Jan 1. Current prices are $10 for plastic-coated maps and $9 for paper maps. The new price for both will be $14 each.
The decision for the price increase was made by the national office in Washington, D.C. in October 2017. This is the first increase in map prices since 2007. The cost of production, printing and distribution of the maps has increased significantly in the last 11 years.
All national forest maps are also available for purchase online from the Forest Service at the National Forest Map Store, http://www.nationalforestmapstore.com. Most printed maps are also available digitally through Avenza Map Store for $4.99 per side, http://www.avenza.com/pdf-maps/store.
