Building the Ultimate Overlander Jeep Wrangler | Throttle Out

Crossing America in a JK Wrangler Off Road

PAOLI, Pa. (June 4th, 2019) – In this episode of ExtremeTerrain’s (XT) Throttle Out YouTube Video Series, XT’s Ryan Houck, helps Mark Townsend from “Treads and Tails” build his ultimate Wrangler overlanding rig. The purpose of this build is to give Mark and his service dog, Forrest, a reliable, functional, and safe vehicle to pilot the Trans-America Trail which spans the continental United States from East to West coast.

“We built a great platform for Mark to build on further, since he has a lot of other mods in mind—this was just the start! I’m excited to see Mark and Forrest on their way and watch the adventure unfold.”—Ryan Houck

Ryan takes you through all phases of the build, from planning to execution, demonstrating what is needed to make Mark’s JK Wrangler a trail-proven overlanding machine. From suspension upgrades to armor, lighting to recovery gear, don’t miss this delicious recipe for cross-country overlanding success!
