Hey guys, our usual camping place (Portal RV) is booked for all tent sites until May 17th (Tuesday) that week...a number of us will be arriving Saturday or Sunday, prior to that. I am not really interested in moving camp midweek, so we are looking at alternatives.

One choice is Pack Creek. It is quiet and secluded, the bathrooms have been redone so they are a lot nicer now, and cheap.

Another choice is Canyonlands. It is more expensive, nicer, noisier (traffic noise) and more convenient to downtown.

Do any of you guys have an opinion? Someone has to take the reins here and we would like to pick one spot for us to congregate in...

I thought that I was going to make it this year, but I now am going to have some surgery in May.

I did buy a tow vehicle this week but am now going to have to wait to take it to Moab. I will probably go in the fall with one of the guys from the club and his extended family.

Bummer Jim. I don't know what you guys got going on but if you really want your tow rig to go I would be more than happy to take it. I will even split the fuel with you.

How much room is at Pack Creek? Im thinking of bringing the motorhome, but if the room is limited, Ill just tent it.....

They definitely have spaces for motorhomes...don't know how booked up they are.
