Hi

Can anyone help with the 'Lift Ratio' of front suspension spacers. I have a 38mm (1 1/2 inch) spacer in & would like to know what the actual lift is on the wheel (it lifts more due to the mechanical advantage of the control arm) - I want to put 'Yellow' Jeep TJ spings in the back & w0uld like to know how much I must space the front to get the car level

Thanks

Ian

Judging by the one I put on mine it's close to 2:1

2001 Sportage, TJ 106's, Everet spacers and bumpstops, Bilstein shocks on the rear, cone filter, Crager wheels, 235-75-15 Goodyear tires. Custom front winch bumper by Dave Scott. Currently DOA, but it is a work in progress.

Thanks

I have 38mm (3 inch) spacers is front & back - but the back is slightly low (it is the Longbody version). I have a set of Jeep TJ yellow springs (3inch lift) I want to put in the back to level it out & get better rear articulation. This will also help with my departure angle - I am running 30 x 9.50 Hankook MT's

It has a locally (South African) made lift kit in it which consist of fabricated plate spacers (under the struts and rear springs- does anyone have a pic of the spacers you use on the other side of the pond <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks

Ian

Dennis actually sold Up Your KIA to Everet. You can still reach both of them here, or you can go directly to the website.

http://upyourkia.com/

The ratio is just under 2:1, but if you calculate 2:1 it will be about right. The max spacer you should use is no more than a 2" spacer because of the amount of drop is all used up at that point and you will also start contacting the drive axle onto the front fork.
