Today Aug 29 marks 6 years. 6 years already, the time continues to fly by. I hope everything is good with everyone in the Northeast. I am living back in Louisiana now. Not in the same place as before. I live north of Lake Pontchartrain. We just put a house under contract yesterday and are hoping to close on it the end of Sep. And Chel and I have a baby on the way. I dont like my job much but it should be getting a promotion soon so hopefully it will get better in the next few months. I wanted to do a before and after pic thread but have not a chance to do it yet. I will sometime.......
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

So good to hear your doing well and back in LA. Baby on the way huh? Congrats! Although it's one good reason to put up with that job until you can find something better and more secure anyway. Pics would be nice as it's no longer in the news much.

Thanks for keeping Katrina/Rita on point for us Sparkem.
And a congrats to you and Chels; when's the baby due? My shift partner is a new dad, so his time management is getting an overhaul too. Best of luck with the house deal; hope you guys checked for termites and pythons!!

Thanks for the replies. I dont post here as much as I should anymore. I dont post much on any forums anymore. I have been busy working and spending a lot of time with old friends and family. My Montero needs work but gets me from home to work and back, 4 mile round trip.
The baby is actually due on Feb 29, yep leap baby. I think it would be cool to have a leap day baby. I am excited to be a dad.
Curtis is right about Katrina giving us a lot of memories. A whole lot of memories. I need to come visit you sometime Curtis. It has been awhile.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

You need to change your location. Congratulations, again, on the baby news. Did Chelsea show you the pics I sent her of Josiah (my new grandson)? Glad ya'll are doing well.
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

I can't believe it's been 6 years since Katrina! I'm lucky enough to live in a country where hurricanes are pretty much unheard of but we still remember that terrible time - that's how far-reaching the effects were - and now there's Irene
