After reading several great reviews I decided to go with the LT series. Falken Wild Peak LT265/70R17-121 . Should be delivered in about 1 week.

The Falken WildPeaks arrived yesterday. Mounted, balanced and installed last night. Darned TPMS light on this morning. "Technician" had a very difficult time with the valve cores - could only get 1 of the 4 to unscrew (I hate road salt!) so he removed the nut and pressed the TPMS nipple into the tire to deflate. I am guessing this damaged a couple of them. Is it possible to turn-off the warning light permanently in the OBD2?

I have put about 3000 miles on the Gen 3 since taking over ownership. I really like this truck. The Wildpeaks perform well but are really loud. When I selected these I read many on-line reviews and they all commented on how quite these tires are. I strongly disagree on the quite statements. Although unquantified I think they are as loud as my MTZs. Took the truck on a 1650 mile pheasant hunting trip to North Dakota in October. Averaged 18.5mpg. Not terrible. Very comfortable.

We are up around 90K on the truck now and still like it very much. My wife however has pretty much take it over. So I bought myself a Gen 2 today.

Took the Gen 3 to the dealer this past week for a PM timing belt, tensioner and water pump. About 97K on the clock. Cost $1260.
