Mine has cracked 3 times and I have welded three times and then they cracked just a month or so again....very very frustrating problem. Wish I could buy a set of headers for it...but have to get set custom made and dont know when I will get that done.

Anybody running BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO's on their Gen 3? I have these on my '93 and am impressed with the snow traction and quiet. But I know different chassis give different results. Would like to know about interior noise with these on a Gen 3.
I'm looking at LT235/80R17 Are these going to be too narrow - about 6.5" Currently running LT265/70R17 which are about 8"

What's the wheel rim width?
6.5" on a tire is too narrow.

Go back ASAP and make them fix it.
It looks great though! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> I know this is old... but just a heads up. Most shops, one I work at included, have signs up that they are not responsible for tpms sensors. Its not the techs fault that the sensors are designed poorly and seize up. I even had an argument with a customer trying to explain that I will end up breaking them cause they are seized. He kept insisting I won't. Handed him the tire valve driver and said "do it yourself". After he broke two I then proceeded with the tire work. Your tech even made an effort trying to save them by dropping them in... I wouldnt have went that far... would have explained that they are siezed and I'm not responsible. The average mom-pop shop tire guy makes min. wage yet is responsible for a 100$ sensor on a $15 job (since most people now bring their own tirerack.com tires). If anything ever breaks we the techs get docked from our pay (saw a coworker loose his weeks pay in 30 seconds). So if we manage to get lucky we dont get a tip, if we fail we loose that days pay, and if we refuse the job we get embarased an told were lazy or inferior mechanics in front of waiting customers.Yet tpms is one part the owners problem, dot bureaucracy, and auto maker carelessness... not some tire shop.
88 Montero, StarQuest turbo, Kormex 5speed +tuff-pan w/phoenix f. stage2 clutch, 4in lift+33' tires, 4.875 lsd, short-throw shifter, Aisin hubs, SR big brakes, gen2 uca's, elantra alt, and so much more... 16g turbo w/hardpipes + 4.90 locking disk-brake axle soon (maybe lsd or aussie front??)

John B. The stock wheels on this are 17 x 7.5" For the BFG A/T KO's LT235/80R17 it says section width 9.3", tread width 7.5" (I had it wrong above) and recommended rim width 6" to 7.5" (31.8" height) For the old LT265/70R17 WildPeaks it says section width 10.9", tread width 8.3" and recommended rim width 7" to 9" (31.7" height)

Yep, I agree, there wasn't much the Tech could do. I've been living with the TPS light on since the WildPeaks were mounted. Another reason I'm thinking about new tires... I'll install 4 new TPS this time.

Those size tires should work. Better highway mileage than big wide tires and they'll cut down through snow better.
Take it easy through the turns, though, Mr Andretti.

Still kicking around the KO idea LT235/80R17 - why would have a statement "Not Rated For Severe Snow" for this size?
Or maybe I'll settle for Geolandar A/T-S. Saves about $150 across 4.
