....I'm appalled...with some understanding. After a several year long list of incidents where ALL lines under the car failed one after the other, causing either hazardous situations or simple annoyances or periods of unavaibility,..well ... my wife decided she would not drive the 2000 Sporty any more....and bought a brand new Suzuki SX4 AWD.
Brake lines, fuel tank, transmission cooling lines, power steering cooling lines, fuel lines (pressure and return), all went haywire one after the other. Salt on our roads and obviously low grade steel in original KIA's are to blame.
While her search lasted months...maybe with me pushing the deadline...notice the SX4 choice is really a consequencee of the original Sporty large glasses and low glass bottom line all around, which provide such a good panoramic view that is almost inexistent in all recent car offerings...to the point they offer rear cameras to try to cope with the problem. SX4 is an exception, with the Tiguan and Forrester, both really expensive.
No doubt I keep the Sporty running....because one is a tool, the other almost a toy....with some appeal though.
..thanks for reading, just wanted to share my disarry
