Here is a pic of my new Jeep, it's a 98 with a 4.0, 5 speed and very high 3.07 gears, it came with 32x1150x15 BFG KOs and a front leveler kit. It's nice to have the touque but on the highway with the 32s and the high gears the Kia has better power in 5th gear. My plan is a 4" lift, 4.10 gears Detroit soft locker rear, detroit true track front and 33x1050x15 BFG KM2s. For now I put the 31" KM2s off the Kia on it and will build it slowly. ![[Linked Image]](http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii29/upyourkia/2011-10-28_17-58-19_531.jpg) My Sportage is up for sale but I will still check in here as often as I can. In a year or so my boy will be in the market for a 2 door Sportage and it will be fun helping him build it up. Dennis
95 Sportage, gone but not forgotten. 98 Jeep TJ, 4" Zone springs with RC Long arms, Ford 8.8", 4.56 gears & Detroit locker rear, D30, 4.56 & Detroit Trutrack front.

Ya, I read through it a lot and will ask for and offer help when needed. This is my 2nd 98 TJ so I know a little about them.

One of my friends- think you knew him - asaf (ASSI) - had a sporty - 2 diff locks, rocksport rear axle articulation kit. then one day he bought a jeep RUBICON.
And then, well, he moved into the big leagues and kinda left us behind- cause while we were contemplating fitting a diff lock (WOW...) he was dealing with fitting a 5 inch lift kit and 33 inch tires.
same goes of course for offroading. so we drifted apart....

Well I'm still here, Kia is not gone, we sold our F150 that was my wifes daily driver and she is now driving the Kia again, it was hers at one time after all. I will not forget this sight or drift away and hope to go wheelin with some of you again, just hope my Jeep will keep up with your Sporty's. It sill need lots of work to get it to where I will call it "trail ready" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />.

Well the Kia is gone, sold it yesterday to a nice old guy that promised to take good care of it. It will see time behind a motorhome and easy gravel roads. I will really miss it but it's nice to know it's in good hands. I will look forward to building me Jeep and mostly restoring my 61 F100 4x4. I wont get lost and forget you here, I built some good friendships here. I hope my boy can get a two door Sporty soon, it will be fun to help him build it up.

Thanks but why would I want to down grade my Jeep by dropping a Chevy in it, just kidding. I do believe that the 4.0 almost perfect for a Wrangler and mine runs great, plus I don't want to spend to much on the Jeep so I can put more into my truck and there is no way a Chevy engine is going into my F100.
