hehee. i said lube. so i am doing the rear main right now, again, (much easier the 2nd time!!) and i wanted to drain/refill the diffs and t-case.. uh.. no one carries straight 90 weight!!! i think i may have to buy 4 quarts of $10 redline!! just wondering what everyone else uses in the diffs. i can find the t-case oil all day long.

So, i bought an 01 Kia Sportage. before i even drove it, i nick-named it The Goat.. it has been just like a goat.. stubbern at every corner...

80W90 gear oil will work fine for the non-clutch diffs/LSDs. If you are running in colder or hotter weather conditions, then a wider-range blend like 85W140 may be a better choice so your oil doesn't sludge up in winter or get too thin during the summer. I'd go for the most expensive stuff you can buy if it comes with a sticker you can slap on your Sporty... Wear it like a badge of honor! Just kidding - any brand of oil should be fine for regular use. If you're pushing the limits, then one of them "yuppie oils" might be worth a try...

1997 Sportage 4x4, auto-trans, Warn manual hubs, 4" UPYOURKIA front lift, TJ 106AA rear springs, 2-5/8" body lift, 31x10.50 treads, SmittyBilt SRC front and XRC rear bumper, swing-out tire mount, OBX LSD front diff, Track Finder rear locker, 5.38 R&Ps and... really crappy gas mileage!
