Long time no post....I've been busy surfing and skating. smile

I wrecked my Montero into a stump a couple years ago and tweaked the idler arm. I haven't had the money to fix it and OI forgot to 'non op' it. the registration is up to $600 and they won't let me non op it now due to Cali being a complete racket. Since i pretty much hate 'the man' I would rather part this thing out or even take it up into the mountains and shoot it before I pay them a nickel.

It runs great and the tranny is in excellent shape...Let me know what you need or if you want the whole thing give me $800. smile The engine has about 170,000 miles.

Let me know if you need a part....If someone needs the engine or tranny that will kind of make up my mind to part it or sell it outright. It passes emissions no problem.

Thanks. -Monty

Chris, if you need simply to rehome the Monty, let me know. I have room, and any parts you'd like to distribute could be done without intervention from the 'man' that you don't like.

So tempted to buy the whole drive train to put into my 92MM. 20 hours round trip is a bit of a long haul for me though.

What a shame. That's a sweet rig. What if you could score a different chassis and just swap all your bits over and register that one?

Thanks for all the suggestions but since my Architectural design business bit the dust and gas is so expensive I really can't afford two Monteros anymore.... let alone the registration. I think selling it for parts might be the best bet. The drive train is in great shape.

I thought of taking up to my brothers property on the Klamath near Oregon just for a hunting rig. He usually hunts out of a Willys Jeep so this would be much more comfortable....and having the 7mm Mag leveled out of the sunroof would be epic.

If nobody wants the drive train then it goes up to the Klamath to slay deer.
