sigh....loosing coolant, but no drips or obvious leaks #1046828 05/19/12 04:18 AM

I almost hate to ask....

I've been loosing coolant over the last week, but not obvious leaks. I found some drips, but couldn't find the origination. Today, cars started smoking. I found coolant under the throttle body, but it all evaporated by the time I had the airfilter housing off.

I'm waiting for the engine to cool before I pull plugs..

The engine is not running rough....could this be something other than a HG?

Buy/rent a pressure tester, and go from there. Could be something as simple as a loose hose clamp, or pinhole leak in a hose.

Next time, use some Toyota red coolant, when it leaks out it turns a crusty red color, easy to find leaks.
