still have yet to get the new tires balanced, but finally able to drive it around my town now!! been about 8 months in the making with a total investment of about $3000.. bought it for 1200, put a bucket of money into it.. drivers window reg. passenger R window reg fan clutch radiator rear main seal (2x) wheel bearings oil filter mount o-ring tires 3 inch lift roof basket way too much other random little crap... but was it worth it? yeah!!! this thing is great. can't wait to get it on the hiway and take it to work.. and actually get it dirty.. when i bought it: 0909111825a by fragile_this_side_up_retro_club, on Flickr what it is now: DSC00265 by fragile_this_side_up_retro_club, on Flickr just randomly posting.. meh. bored..
So, i bought an 01 Kia Sportage. before i even drove it, i nick-named it The Goat.. it has been just like a goat.. stubbern at every corner...

I'm hating mine at the moment. Once I get the damn vibration problem fixed I might like it again.

Still hating mine The axle shafts were pitted on both sides where the needle bearing in the steering knuckle rides. I still have a vibration from 25-35 but it is better. On top of this my CEL came on today. I hade the code read and now the knock sensor is bad. From what I've read it's [censored] to access

Lovin mine also. Getting 230 Miles to the tank now that it's summer. Been pullin the pop-up camper all summer, no problems. Did some light 4x4ing and some river crossings. Lots of camping and fishing in the Sporty too. Still need to get some fender flairs on. Broke both side mirrors with flying rocks from the rear tires. Cruse control no longer works??? Oh well. Shes still great.

I got the knock sensor replaced and it wasn't as bad as some lead you to believe. I still have a slight vibration but I'm pretty sure it's the feathered edge of the tires caused by needing an alignment. Can't fault the girl for that.

I finally figured out my vibration problem. It's the rear u-joints.
