LS will have smaller diff versus the SR. No locker unless you put in an ARB. Will also have 3.0l engine instead of the 3.5.

the LS will have a 3.5L engine, not 3.0... You're right. 97 was the first year they upgraded the LS package to a 3.5L engine instead of the 3.0L engine which came in all the earlier LS'. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I have a 97 LS, and it has given me countless trouble free miles, taken me all over the SW, impresses naysayers with it's off road abilities, and still surprises me daily, and I certainly do not sir to pee

i have a 1995 SR sitting in the back yard you could drive home I get 3 days off every 25 days working on the Eagle Ford Shale. I'm looking for a gen 2 maybe gen 2.5 but it has to be rust free and not in bad shape. I am interested though.
