Hi everyone,

Had my alignment done today so the Sporty now almost tracks straight <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

The company identified a couple of issues which need to be addressed.

For those running 4 inch lift what did you do about the angles your balljoints on the upper A arm are on. mine is basically maxed out and is pulling on the joint <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />. so the angle needs to be reduced.

also found out my steering box is flogged out with lots of fore and aft movement as well as left to right so I will have to replace the steering box as well soon. Not happy.

A few other little issues that aren't to bad with a couple more bushes, and sway bar rubbers perishing causing movement.

The steering idler has been replaced with a new Kia one but there is still movement in it. would this be related to the steering box having excess movement?

Also not to happy with the softness of the front struts and rear shocks. May need to still look into custom struts and shocks to get the firmer valving required. You can nearly get the front wheels to lift off the ground just by bouncing the front end by hand..

I have purchased a KMAC universal castor adjustment that still needs to be fitted at some stage once the angle of the upper ball joint has been sorted.

All ideas are welcomed.

so with these issues the Sporty is still nervous on the road which needs to addressed as my son will be learning how to drive in it.

cheers, Chris : <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> :

Well surprise, surprise, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> the castor adjustment won't fit. Sent them pictures and asked them which bolt it should replace.

The only way now to get camber adjustment is eccentric adjustable bushes in the upper A-Arms. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

considering the bushes are pressed in and can't be replaced on our A Arms here is hoping that SIDKID may have a fix with his new A-Arms. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

Luckily the kit will fit my wife's Trajet so it's not wasted. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Cheers, Chris <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

Well finally coughed up the coin to get myself some wild fire extractors for the Sporty.

They arrived a couple of weeks ago. I dropped them off at the ceramic coaters today. Should be ready late next week.

Now to start saving for a new mandrel bent custom exhaust <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Cheers, Chris <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I notice your Sporty dips on the right side, mine does this also, is it because of a bad body/frame bushings? I thought on mine it was because of the broken spring I had, but it is still there after the lift I just did.
