Need a Spot
Does anyone know if the kia can take a rollover and has anyone fabbed up a roll bar for one of these? I've got a 2001 if it matters.

I've seen rolled Sporties in the salvage yards and they don't look too good. Both the front and center pillars will give. The last one I saw made me think seriously about fabbing up a roll cage of some sort. I couldn't tell if if was a fatality-accident. But there was some blood on the head liner over the driver, which had both of the left-side pillars give - the front compressing the most. The top definitely came down and touched the driver's noggin. I guess the cheap fix would be to wear a helmet...

1997 Sportage 4x4, auto-trans, Warn manual hubs, 4" UPYOURKIA front lift, TJ 106AA rear springs, 2-5/8" body lift, 31x10.50 treads, SmittyBilt SRC front and XRC rear bumper, swing-out tire mount, OBX LSD front diff, Track Finder rear locker, 5.38 R&Ps and... really crappy gas mileage!

the convertible can take a roll better due to the stock roll bar and internal supports, but neither of them will fair well. I always wanted to put a roll bar in mine...

"Does this part need to be in there?"
