Took some time to remove,repair,retape, and loom the under hood wiring.


Finished Firewall and passenger side now starting in on wiring behind rad support.

Yep the gopro has so far been the only camera next to a old jam cam that i havn't broken within 5 minutes, so you get these strange wide pictures with it, the video side works pretty good even when i straped it on to claytk's bumper and crossed a river with it.

Yep NON-innercooled 3.0 turbo diesel. I need to take the V6 badge off the grill as this motor is a 4 cyl haha oh well


I must recommend everyone check the loom behind your radiator that hangs on the support it takes a lotta heat from the rad and gets brittle there are high power wires there along with starter and ignition wires you don't want those to get damaged. I think you can unbolt and lower the rad and get to it without draining the coolant, then again might be just easier to drain it and remove it so you don't have to fight with a rad full of coolant.

I picked up a GoPro last summer. Haven't used as much as I hope to yet. It is certainly fun.

You know you can change the lense setting from wide to medium to narrow, right? Narrow is not good for vids in that it defeats the purpose of the GooPro, IMO. But narrow is good for closer-up stills.

I think you can go narrow on a GoPro, haven't tried it yet either. I untaped and retaped/reloomed my '99 a couple years ago, i think that's a Montero service interval... Every 10 years retape and reloom your exterior wires.

back on the topic of loom, I wonder why mitsu didn't loom the driver side harness, the passenger side is taped and loomed up but the driver side is just taped??

I was thinking that today before I even read this, I retaped the driver side of the diesel because I was searching for A/C and Aux fan wiring. I think it was part of the gadget box harness because it's gone.

I was a little off on the GoPro. Mine is a Hero3 Black. I can go W/M/N for video, but only W/M for photos.
