HI Everyone, I have a starion/conquest 1988 LSD up for sale. I have 4.62 gears for it as well.
It was used in my rear axle 87 swb. Email or PM on a reasonable offer.

Thanks,

Jason

Body Damage is Cool
Is this a rear from a truck or the rear from a conquest (front truck potential)?

The rear from a conquest 8" will work in V6 front.

No confusion needed. The 8" rear diff LSD from the Starquest, Montero, and Mighty Max / D50 = same part. And, yes, can be used in the front 8" diff found on Gen I V6 Montero and MM.

J...is this the Madera McDonald's unit? If so, was sourced from an 87 Raider I had.

Read a long time back on the WIRE: the truck rear carrier is slightly wider than the car and therefore doesn't fit in a truck front. That is why there was such an "AH HA" moment when the Starion/Conquest rears were found to fit the front of the trucks.

Hey the search function only goes back 5 years whats with that? I dug back almost 6 years when I did my first front Gen 1 LSD swap. Info in that thread says for sure its a NO/GO. Too wide, wrong splines. I've never verified personally however.

Here is the thread:
