Next weekend I will installing oil, water & volt gauges (all electric). Will I need to ground/bypass the oil pressure light? I'm assuming with the wire disconnected it will stay lit since it will not sense any pressure.

I'm about to do the same with a mechanical gauge. Does anybody know of a readily available T-fitting or something that will allow the factory idiot light sensor as well as the oil pressure gauge fittings?

Exactly why I asked. Thank you sir! Going to get one now. I hadn't looked that far into it yet, and knew somebody else had done this install...

I got my gauges installed. With the factory oil idiot light disconnected the light does not come on. Just the opposite of what I was expecting.

I didn't install a T as personally I don't see the need for the idiot light when using an actual gauge.
