Hello, I joined today and was looking on the site to get info about the Pajero as a jdm turbo diesel Pajero is for sale in the states.

Anyway, while looking I saw you had a built 4g64t and wondered if you be willing to just part with the engine as I don't know if it would work on my car.


I have a 2000 2.4 galant but my issue is what do about the fact that your engine seems to be rotated 180. I looked around and have not been able to see if it is possible to just flip the bolt ons or not.

Please let me know if I can just get the engine. And if it would be possible to flip the engine or if I would need to disassemble and rebuild flipped.

Hi begood12, and welcome to the wire. I can check into your question and let you know. The only thing I'm not sure about is theres a wide block and narrow block 2.4L
If the Galant has the wide block transmission then this would be a bolt in. I would be up for selling just the motor,ecu,software and harness no problem. I will get back to you and feel free to ask in the mitsubishi tech section, this is a great place with very Knowledgeable People.

Thank you very much I will see if the auto trans is a wide no ok or not. I also know I would need to beef up my trans. But the car is old and I love the platform so I would likely rebuild trans

Galant is narrow block. And as you noted, the engine is reversed in the 2000 Galant, so the head wouldn't work either.

If you want some 4G64 advice, run over to the yahoo group and ask some questions.

OK so I am at the point were I will except any reasonable offer for either the trans or motor. I do not want them just sitting around out of the Montero. Please let me know as I plan to pull them in a few weeks. I did get a shipping quote for 400$ for shipping from California to Ontario Canada.
