Hi,new here, but a Toyota truck for about 10-12 years. It got hot, blew the head gasket, and after a head check and repair, when it gets warmed up,it has a tick which sounds like a valve, but when I checked them, they were perfectly gapped.I believe it is a wrist pin bushing, and when I replaced the head gasket, timing chain kit, etc,I noticed that there is no ridge in the cylinder and on several, there are visible hatch marks still on the cylinders and standard pistons,so probably never touched. I intend to remove the offending piston and rod and have new bushings installed. It still runs like a banshee, with a Weber carb and 2-1/4" exhaust. Anyone who has dealt with this is welcome to chime in. Lha
