Hey all.....long time no post. Hope everyone is happy healthy and enjoying life. I used to post here all the time but I sold my 96 and 98 Monteros. I bought a lifted 07 fj cruiser with rear elocker, atrac, and other goodies. I love my FJC but sadly I miss my Monteros. Looking at another 2000 gen2.5 right now. Was wondering if the gen 3s were a better rig. Im sure the gen 3s handle speed better with ifs irs but what about traction? The gen 2.5 has a rear locker. What do the gen 3s have for traction offroad?

Thanks
-Chris

I talked about you just yesterday. Imagine me seeing you post tonight?

There are new things like the TRE locker from Oz that might work for the Gen 3.

Gen 1s still rule, though!! wink

Thats some serious coincidence there. Hopefully you were saying good things. Haha. IIRC I might have been a pain in the ass when I first joined. I had to know everything now. Haha.

I should have never had sold my Monteros. They just dont make them like they used to. I found a 2000 gen 2.5 in k oxville . Might fly down and drive it back. No rear locker though. Not sure what the gearing is but maybe I can find a locking third member for it.

Was good stuff. I mentioned you after posting the yellow Enkei rims on my Raider below Strawberry on I-50.

Life moves on, yes?
