Hi All,
I spotted a really nice & straight rear bumper at a junk yard, but can't seem to figure out how to get it off... Unbolting it is not the issue, I'm trying to figure out how to get it off with the current hitch configuration there. I think that needs to be torched off to proceed, can anyone confirm?

All of the attachment points for the hitch are welded to frame members of the vehicle from what I can tell. Attached are some pictures.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to buy a tool haha! I just didn't want to destroy something that could be useable to someone in the future if I didn't have to. Should have it this weekend!

A welded hitch is no friend to another that would have to cut it off. Cut, rinse, repeat!

So I picked up a sawzall and conteplated getting a spare battery, but decided to stick with the one I already had. Went to the yard with a full charge and was able to cut through all of the plate except for the last 1/2 inch...should have gotten that second battery ha ha. Went back home and recharged the battery for a 2nd round, cut rinse repeat...

You might have been able to pry that little remaining bit? Good work, though! Must 'save' as many good parts as possible.

I finally got around to getting the straight bumper I bought a few weeks ago installed. Looks great. I also installed a hub cap on my spare and a working spare lock that I was able to get at the JY
