Hello everyone. I am new to the forum. I've got myself a 1988 Montero and I'd like to swap in a 5.2 fron a dodge pickup. I've read somewhere that's someone from here has done it before and swapped over the NV3500 as well, but I couldn't remember their username. Any info or advice would be great. Thank you all in advance

Yeah, done before. things to consider with a small block Chrysler are the with and length. If you use the shortest water pump, move the radiator to the front of the rad support, and massage the firewall to create room for the distributor, then do a body lift to clear the bellhousing..this is all done and feasible. Chevy 350 has been done the same way. About 10 years (11?) back, there was a dude 777 that used a Cadillac 6.0L with AT, thing was awesome, and no money spared. Then he dropped from site and sight.

I've long been a fan of the 302 Ford conversion: shorter length, not wide because engine is 60 degree rather than 90, front distributor, and a C4 auto can all be done without firewall mods, radiator mods, or a body lift.
