Was diagnosed as bad MAF. Finally found a used one but the same happens. Truck runs for a couple of minutes and then dies. Already has new fuel pump , coil wires and plugs. Head gasket and timing belt replaced. Heads rebuild. I’m running out of options. Almost think that it is starving for gas, but not sure fuel filter also fresh
Any suggestions?

If you think it's a fuel delivery issue, you can drizzle some gas into the carburetor when it stumbles to be sure.

No current codes. When it’s over 75F the O2 sensor code comes on. Now that it is cooler that doesn’t happen anymore. Been like this for over 2 years.
The engine runs fine for a couple of minutes and then starts to sputter and dies. You can hear the fuelpump running, so that should no be the issue

Water in the gas maybe? Sea foam treatment worth trying?

Are you by any chance running a K&N filter?

Stock intake setup with stock filter.
Is it possible to mix the connections on the fuel filter and with that cause a problem?

Have you replaced the injection pressure regulator?

Do you have the right MAF? 89 and 90/91 are different. If the FI system (not carb, CG) is not building pressure due to a faulty regulator...could have this effect.

Lastly, what about the troubleshooting section in the FSM?
