Getting the Wheeling Fever
My 88 4wd truck, 22re, will idle fine until it's warm (driving it 10 minutes or so), then after shutting it off for a few minutes and starting it again, it randomly idles way down and dies; then will start but not stay running more than a couple of seconds until it cools. It's giving me no codes and I've replaced almost everything that could cause this (all the fuel system parts and lines, afm, coil, bvsv, cor). EGR system all checks out fine. I'm now down to the iac valve (for which replacements don't seem to exist). The opening is where it should be at room temp. FSM says ohm reading should be 39-59. Mine reads at 27. What would be the effect of that ohm reading? Any other ideas?

The valve could be corroded. I'd check that it cycles.

America's first fourwheel drive was built in Mankato, MN by Ernest Rosenburger in 1908 who founded Four-Traction Auto Co. on Hickory Street. The company though successful closed in 1913.
