Truck vs. Jeep: What’s the Best Vehicle for Off-Roading?

There are generally two kinds of off-roaders in the world: truck lovers and jeep lovers. Both kinds of vehicles come with their fair share of pros and cons when it comes to leaping over rocks and grinding through the mud. If you’re trying to choose between one and the other, you’ll likely encounter all kinds of opinionated individuals who will decry your decision one way or the other. Both have their ardent supporter.

If you’re new to the world of off-roading, we’ll give you the lowdown on these two classic options, so you can make the right decision based on where and how you like to drive.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Look at some video's of the kind of 4-wheeling I'm interested in out in Kansas and you see that the smaller vehicles are the most affordable to build up and run. There are categories for LARGE trucks, but they would be so much more expensive to put together and maintain that there is no way I could afford it.

Just search the internet for videos about "Klaperjaht" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Now this is just my interest and since I don't have a vehicle at my place that isn't a 4x4, I don't have any animosity about how anyone uses them. AS LONG AS THEY ARE BEING SAFE, RESPONSIBLE AND HAVING FUN!!!

Just my 2 cents, what does everyone else think???

By the way, I also have an '08 Suburban, '08 Silverado, '86 F250 and my two oldest boys drive a '12 X-Terra and a '06 Ram 1500.

AND they are all 4x4's.
