My 89 v6 smokes (white) alot....is there any oil that smokes less? Does thicker oil smoke less in general??

No.

Smoking means valve seals and possibly valve guide replacement.

Thanks RX Thought youd have an opinion. Yeah I was sure a engine rebuild was the real answer but it's been like this for years and it still has plenty of power and last compression check it was normal except for one cylinder and that one wasnt off much.

If still lots of power and minimal oil use, start with the valve seals. Not a little job, but able to perform with head still on engine.
