Getting the Wheeling Fever
While looking for Bumper/Frame Stops/Damper part #'s In the 89 Parts manual (Thanks MarkG!) on page 23a, found interesting listing for....... "Cover - Rear Floor Secret Box"

Couldn't figure how to save and post the diagram.... but It's under the rear seat and carpet and right above the gas Tank...I'd had noticed a cover/opening there and just thought it just an access point for the fuel pump/sending unit......but "Secret Box" listing has me curious!.....now I gotta check it out!

Speaking only about Gen 1 models:

I've parted out 5 LWB and retained 3, never saw anything but the FI pump cover. The USDM did not get all the goodies that elsewhere received...like rear seat floor heaters, Exceed or Super Exceed, PTO winches, ladders, accessory fuel tanks, and more. Your Secret Box might be among these.

I uploaded a number of pics to Imgur that you can browse and see some of the factory and dealer accessories from other markets.

Need a Spot
My gen 1 lwb has two flip up lids under /in front of the rear seat with the foot heater. Bought in in Colorado was not standard for the US?

Flip up lids under the rear seat for USDM usually only held the tire iron, jack handle and jack. In other markets, had the compressor for the air locker and other nifty things. USDM sucked for the cool accessories available elsewhere. frown
