Need a Spot
So I have "base" model Gen 1 with the 3.0 V6 it does not have the 3 gauge cluster. With the engine having 230k miles on it and some lifter noise that goes away when I rev it a little. Prior to replacing the oil pump, lifters, water pump, timing belt and valve stem seals. I just want to get an idea of what my oil pressure is and if there is life left in the motor or If i should buy i rebuilt motor.

So i have no idea where to plumb in the sensor side of the oil pressure gauge. Can someone maybe help me with a photo or diagram of where to plumb it in and while you are at it. weight in on the auto zone re manufactured/refurbished engines that cost around $2k. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

not worth rebuilding the engine. the bottom end will last another 200k if well maintained. sounds servicing thee heads would be your best bet and at only half the cost.

The oil pressure sensor is near the oil filter.
