So one of the guys who has appeared in the MMUSA group and a great enthusiastic ♦️♦️♦️ guy, his name is Chuck, purchased this truck to go along with the 6 ❗ he already has. What's interesting about the truck is the drivetrain. Sit down! Shut up! Hold on! Ford 4.0 V6 drivetrain from an Explorer! And it looks a designed fit. The guy who made this built 3 of them this way. This is the 3rd one, and is very dialed in. The guy, who is now suffering from cancer which is why Chuck got the truck, made a Manual of what he did to convert it. Including diagrams. I'll leave it up to Chuck, but as I see my mortality, it seems a waste to let that info sit. https://i.imgur.com/UOIze9U.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/LItZIIf.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/BWQUiWP.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/OmTcBBx.jpg

The only issue with this swap, is kind of what we are dealing with in the community. The guy who built it used a 96 Explorer engine, with 91 Explorer electronics. Something about simpler. Like our 6G72 and 4G54 engines, that makes a 25+ year old starting point. How many miles in a soccer mom truck is that? Still, the availability of 4WD Explorers is better than us. Still, I think it's a viable option, especially for folks up North where the Explorers are treated s appliances.

Welcome back to The Wire! Frank. As used in the Ranger FX4, the 4.0L engine was not a bad deal. I don't think Freddy wants to give up the 5.0L for a Montero, though. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/GxvxDVb.jpg)

It's a very clean swap. The guy did real good job packaging it up.
