Warning Light Switch? #1106291 05/24/21 02:42 AM

Need a Spot
Silly question popped up when I was trying to troubleshoot the '88 Dodge Raider.
Where is the warning light switch? I have never seen a car - old or new - without a clear and obvious switch.
I have functioning lights all around, brake lights work...just no turn signals and well, no hazard lights because I don't know how to turn them on...
I don't have an owner's manual and Haynes doesn't mention it. A Google search yields nothing, strangely.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

I think I found it? Is it an inconspicuous toggle switch bottom right of the instrument cluster? When I wiggled it, it popped out. I can see 7 or 8 wires, which matches the service manual diagram. No luck finding one on the internet anywhere. It doesn't feel like it should, no resistance when toggling it either way.
Anyone know where to find one? Maybe a universal one?
Thanks

Thanks rxinhed. I took it apart and found someone stuffed chewing gum paper in it. The actuating toggle is broken. No replacement can be found. We have a cool little electronics store down the road. I'll have to take it and the schematic to find something that works. I saw in a Defender forum someone bypassed the hazard so they can at least have turn signals. I will try that for now.

New hazard switches are available. Get the number from partsouq.com and hunt the internet.

mb330277 is the part number. There are sites that look exactly the same, with different names, claiming to have them in stock. But when I inquire they state it is unavailable. I have a lead on a used one locally, but the guy is a typical Craigslist-Flake.

I'm sorry that I can't offer one. My tool box with spares was stolen.

Check with Alan Casetta. He can be found on Facebook.

I'm sorry to hear about your theft. And thanks for always answering with help. I nuked my Facebook in 2016 when it got too political for my taste. I'll find something. At least the parts are there, and everything works. I simply hold the sliding contacts in place with electrical tape and I have turn signals and brake lights. In an emergency I will just have to loosen the tape, slide it a 1/4" and refasten.....sigh
I run into stuff like this on my old Wagoneer, too, so half the fun is finding a solution.
