In keeping with the new name for this forum, I've updated and reformated all the info to cover the early trucks and 4Runners (79-89).

Please PM me with new info and I'll incorporate it as it is received.

Broderick

ATTENTION VIEWERS/USERS We are having trouble with spambots keying on the word 'part'. In an effort to slow this down, the thread title has been changed.

I don't know if I entirely agree with re-format, as there are differences in 3.0 parts pre/post 94 (wiring harness & connectors change).

1990 3.0 V6 auto 4x4:
85910-35010 Relay, Circuit Opening
90987-02004-83 Relay, EFI (engine compartment fuse box-round )

85 4Runner. I used part number given for A/C Idler Pulley Bearing (6203-2RSJ) Too Big. Must be confused with P/S Pulley Bearing?
Actual bearing is (SKF or Napa) 63012ZJ or Timkin 301-SS

It's never going to be perfect, but the more people contribute, the closer it will get.

BTW, the reformat took place 1 year ago. A little late for criticisim

Just went to the dealer and got me the knock sensor and the wire, it seem that the part # listed is incorrect or if I was looking at certain year model so I like to address that the knock sensor part # is 89615 -50010 and the wire part # is 82219 - 35010, this is toward to the 1992 4runner, I don't know if it will be the same as those 89 to 91 but I believe it will fit most of those 2nd generation 4runner.

Thanks, I'm still trying to find out if that was a tech service bulletin issue or not, as failure of the wiring with its proximity to the exhaust seems to be a disturb/failure item. If those part numbers aren't year-specific, then they might be the replacement part numbers for the original.
Still diggin on this one. Alldata did away with their foreign makes on their TSB/recall list. It was a management call; I emailed them.

Just thought that I would help out those of you that are making your own 3.4 harness. Below you will find the part numbers for the plugs (c1 & c2 in the ewd) that fit into the dash harness on my 92 yota so that you dont have to cut up the 22r harness to use them...
90980-10811
90980-10881
These are empty plugs that you will have to supply the wires for, if you cant find any to use, use these part numbers, (these are per wire btw)...warning, doing it this way (ordering each wire) can get expensive in a hurry...
82998-12340 - small wire (majority of these two plugs)
82998-12380 - larger wire (only 4 of these needed in this application)

Also it seems people have had trouble in locating the plug for the body harness that plugs into the 3.4 ecu. Below you will find 4runner part numbers, I dont know for sure, but I think that the taco's p/n are the same.

96 - plug E8 90980-11392
(Manual Trans)
plug E12 90980-11218
(Auto Trans)
97/98 - plug E12 90980-11218
99/00 - plug E12 90980-11637
plug E14 90980-11638

One slight correction:

front inner (axle) seal Timken/BCA/FM 710070, CR 12810, Toyota 90311-35032

The Toyota part number is incorrect for the front inner axle seal. The correct Toyota part number is: 90311-33085. The other part numbers are correct.

Anyone know offhand the part # for a 23 spline t-case input gear from an 86/87 4cyl. turbo 5 speed? I know I can get it from Marlin, T/G etc. but would like to check dealer pricing here as it would save me shipping, duty, exchange and brokerage fees if I could just order it locally. My dealer doesn't list it or can't seem to find it.

Does anyone have the oem caliper seal kit numbers for the 33.93mm small pistons? These are the smaller diameter pistons found in the mid 80's vented and non-vented 4 piston calipers .
Thanks,
Sarge

Plate, Eng (22R-E valve cover sticker) - 11291-35040 $1.19

Excuse my ignorance but I am still new to this web site. I use the above reference/quote because it is something I think I could use.

What does one do with the part number?

1) Assuming a specific 'after-market' part did exist, do after-market parts contain some reference to oem part numbers?

2) Can one order an after-market part over the internet, or an oem part directly through Toyota at a lower cost, by knowing the part number?

3) Are the part numbers just identifiers so that people can talk on this site with more specificity?

tks..

1987 Toyota 4-Runner
Front caliper rebuild kit- Toyota part #04479-30031
This is an updated part number for the 4 piston caliper with two different sized pistons. The smaller piston seals are not available in the aftermarket (33.93). This kit includes all 8 piston bore seals, boots, wire retainers and bleeder caps. Pistons are available at Napa, Car Quest and O'Reillys much cheaper and work fine.
Kit cost is $40 w/tax.
