Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I need some help on finding good quality Brake Calipers? Are there any high performance calipers for a 94 v6 X-cab Cross drill rotors.
94 xtra-cab 4x4 V6 98k, K&N intake, Custom Flowmaster exhaust, Edelbrock IAS Shocks, Cross-Drilled Vented Disc, 31x10.50 AT on American Racing wheels, Hella Headlights 90/130W and Corbeau Sports seats, Addco Sway Bars FR & RR.

The calipers on your truck are relatively large. They are actually larger than the calipers used on FJ60 Landcruisers, which only weigh about 1800 pounds more than your truck.
Why do you want to replace them? For the bling or some other reason?

Call me crazy but I am pretty darn happy with my stock OEM Aisin calipers with toyota pads. Not sure why you want or need crossdrilled rotors and upgraded calipers on a truck that can't get out of its own way. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" /> Serious, there is much better stuff to spend your money on if you want to build up your truck. Unless your next mod after that is to show off those new rotors and calipers through some 22s. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

What are you going to AutoCross a 4x4 truck? You have big brakes and big calipers. If you are going to wheel it in the mud you are going to hate those drilled rotors, they pack with mud and grit and wear the pads out real fast.
