On that Hard Track snorkel site that I linked, they showed how to make the hole by drilling a bunch of very close holes in a circle and then cutting it out. They used a dremel or drill to clean up the area...

Those "Hard Track" snorkels are direct knockoffs of the Safari and Airtec snorkels.

I believe Frank (Misterbishi) or one of his buddies did a dyno test before and after a snorkel install and the results were pretty impressive - and of course that was with out any ram air effect.

FYI: for anyone looking for that hole saw, it's being sent to me next week. Once I'm done with it I'll hang onto it until someone wants me to send it to them.

$300 buys a lot of thin wall ABS tubing and fittings in 3" diameter....

Windshield post brackets are just some massaged .060 stainless strips and stainless self drilling/tapping screws.

Yeah, so if anyone wants the hole saw after I'm done with it just let me know.

Franklin,

I looked at your link and it goes to a yahoo URL.

First, in most cases, you can't post a pic you've uploaded to Yahoo unless it's a Yahoo account you've paid for.

Second, the url doesn't actually got a pic directly because it has that "?" in the middle of it rather than ending in a picture's extension... (.jpg, .gif, etc)
http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/ac056b78_m40c78dd2/ca31/__sr_/38d3.jpg?ph2TMMDB01aWzHTN

I like to use montypics because it allows remote linking & even shows the right code to put in when you need to post the pic here. For what's barely a dinner for 2 ($25), I have unlimited picture storage for a year. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Don't get me wrong, as I have a yahoo account as well but I know you can't remotely link to pictures so I don't bother trying to any more.

If you want, send me the pic and I'll post it up for you.

Thanks, It was a gag photo of a snorkle I had made for an old truck. Not funny now after all the photo link trouble. I think I just put them up on my cousins site last time I was here. Here is access to the whole album of that truck where my gag snorkle pic is just in case the suspense was really getting to anyone. Frank vee pics
