Well since no one has heard from me in about a week, I'm doubtfull for tellico b/c the timing belt, water pump and fuel ump are gone in the troop and I wanna get all that stuff done plus some others before it gets back on the trails, but I will def have it all done by Uwharrie and am down for two trips if it gets scheduled that way, any weekends will be good for me...

(posting under Rob, b/c I'm still too lazy to log out)

Scott-

Are you sure you don't want to push to make Tellico? With the way your rig is built, you are a little overkill for Uwharrie and Tellico is soooo cool and who knows when you'd get the chance to go again!

_________

Smiley-

I assume you meant a Nov/Dec run to somewhere other than Uwharrie b/c it closes for the season sometime in Oct right? They didn't change that when I wasn't paying attn or anything?

EDIT: I looked, Dec 15, but doesn't open again till April 1. I knew they closed at some point!

And maybe, just maybe I can finally get the Trooper trail worthy by Oct!

Ha ha, dont think I'm not gonna try and get it ready for Tellico. I would love to make that ride. I'm def gonna try and bust my tail working and all to get the right money to get everything fixed and ready in time. It's very true that I dont often have the chance to get down that way. Truth is I'm workin crazy hard to save up for a tow rig so I can have way more easy access to the good stuff like you guys and , as I'm sure that you and Rob already know, it's hard to do while still in school and trying to save for better upgrades on the troop. I'll most likely make it, I'm just bein stingy about dippin into the savings and all that $$ I've saved. I know, I know, I'll stop whining .....

So,

Will it be TWO RUNS – one in September/October, and another in November/December...

-OR-

Will it be ONE RUN – most likely in October, like usual???

We really need to start tossing out some dates…
But please don’t make me start a poll… I hate those things!

BTW - Jessica, thank you very much for looking-up that closing date…
I knew that it was some time in December, but I wasn’t sure of exactly when.
(I’ve just added that bit of key information to the first post )

My schedule is always up in the air. Any date is fine with me...just have to be sure I don't have contracted work that weekend.

I say, if possible, make it two dates. That way i can make up for the summer one that i missed. I will have to have my school schedule before i make a suggestion for times.

Well.... kinda I still have issues with the tires rubbing pretty bad in the front on lock and last week I went over a ditch and for the first time realized the back kinda rub too. Add that to the plans for the fixed yoke Rob wants on the transmission and my desire to get a little more height and we have some work to do. I could take it on the trails right now, but I'd rather wait till it's a little bit better prepared. I saw what not enough tire clearance did to Scott's friend at Calahantee and I'd rather not get that stuck!

The more I think about it with our house renovation at the same time, the less likely the Trooper will even be ready in Oct! Just not enough weekends out there...
