The recall sticky'd here is for the ball joints; the one you and others mention in the T100 section is for the steering linkage. Edit: Link to Post for Steering recall

Which part is this exactly? Is it the piece that the toe adjusters connect to?

Yes, there are 2 recalls
Unfortunately my other post was merged with this one, and I've received a couple of pm's from folks who are a bit confused.
My first entry was moved/edited into this thread, and pertained to the rod relay recall.
My other entry with 3 links to it in this thread is the original post for the ball joint recall.
Hope that clears the water a bit.
In either case, as someone had mentioned elsewhere, you should insist on a front end alignment to follow up on the maintenance relative to these recalls.

I just made the appointment for this upcoming Wednesday afternoon, apparently i am the first one in the Grand Forks, ND area to have this warranty work done, but at least they had the parts and were ready for me. It was also interesting to see that my truck did go in for the "V06" campaign work in 1998.

just got it back from the stealership, heres a pic: ![[Linked Image]](http://s7.imagehosting.us/uploadpoint/imagehosting_upload_storage/user_27461/T0_27461_733483.JPG) it is the only part that doesnt match, not for long. it was also nice of the mechanic to point out that that my valve cover gasket was leaking as if i could not tell myself, how nice of him

hey, i've just call toyota canada & got confirmed that i fall under the recall campaign. Sweet. Question is, does it come with a free alignment too? That would be great as I haven't had one for a over a year! (Hope they'll figure things out with the 32's, balljoint spacers & cranked torsion bars..."most importantly, hope they won't reset the front end back to the stock height...")

yeh i had my relay rod replaced in september from teh recall. i have a 91 4runner but they came across no fractures, but it was still replaced. the bastards forgot to give me a wheel alignment, but called them up and toyota apologised and gave me a full wheel alignment and balance for $0
