Shouldn't be any balking... We're not talking about an already failed component (for most), we're talking about a component they've deemed unworthy to stay on vehicles well out of warranty.

I just spoke with a guy at Toyota Support to change my address, he confirmed my recall eligibility, gave me a case # and said I don't have to wait for the letter. He also said, if they give me the run around, call him direct and he will make it happen immediately, no sense in crashing first. Good luck everyone!

Per the 800 # - it's 4WD T100's. That should answer an early Q. Anybody hear otherwise?

That is correct, just the 4wd, Toyota HQ said it will be the end of the month into October before the parts are sent out and we get our notices. I would definetly call HQ at the number above and make sure you give them your VIN and current address.

I'm definitely going to have to call Toyota, since I'm the 3rd owner of my T100, and I know they don't have my info.

Very pleasant folks to talk to... Information updated and I've got a case/reference #. I can't wait to get this replaced. I was very close to buying the part along with upper TRE's.

When I get my linkage done under warranty (I am eligible), is there anything I should have the dealership replace while they have it torn apart. I have 84,000 miles on my truck.
thanks, Brad

There's very little tearing apart to do. Might as well have the TREs inspected, but to replace them will be on your dime. They will probably try to sell you an idler arm with it too. You could go to a dealership to get a dash light replaced, and they'd try to sell you an idler arm with it.

Granted, the jury-rigging I did on the idler arm grease boot probably warrants that... Question, will they need to do an alignment after replacing the relay rod? I'm guessing not... but was curious what ya'll thought.
