anybody get a letter yet? toyota said that they would be sending 16,000 letters out a day starting on the 16th of september, and I have not heard anything yet

I haven't heard a word yet either. I guess they will get to it sooner or later.

Get on the phone to the dealer with your VIN and let them know you exist.

You can see by the other posts with regard to this, that these gents aren't sitting on their hands.

I have even called 2 parties who are selling their Runners to let them know there is a safety recall out.

my truck is going into the shop on tuesday or wednesday of next week, the dealer also said the alignment is included <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I know it is a safety recall, I was told the letters where coming, but I just havent been driving my truck lately too... I am biking to work....

I had pictures posted of my broken steering relay rod.
I think Toyota also calls it a drag link and center link.

I still have the failed part - maybe Toyota would like to but it back.

For those of you waiting on a letter, there's 5K sheets of bond paper in a 40# box; usually delivered 40 cs to the pallet; roughly 5 pallets....

And the assumption all affected Yotas are still on the road, and within the same region they rolled off the lots from, and that your truck has been seen by a Yota dealer at least once, where you currently live, to establish a Toyota-based record..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

I am going in on 10/13, and making them check my rotors again for warpage...

Just got my truck back today, nice shiny black relay rod, free alignment, cant beat that...although it seems like the monkeys at the shop always get grease on my door panels...it never fails.
