If still under warranty, I imagine they would. Shawn, did you get this as a campaign letter? If so, please post contact information for Toyota if they provide it; very helpful to the readers!
How's the new truck running BTW?

Not on a campaign that I know of...
My VIN falls in that group and no letter from Toyota USA. No noise from my engine at all though, all is well. Anyhow, this is PHX, NOTHING cold soaks here.

Only other place I found that made mention was in the tech threads at www.tundrasolutions.comA person could also probably call Toyota and ask. 1-800# is available from one of the recall posts in the tech section. (yes am being lazy )

hey guys. I saw this posted at toyotanation.com forms and in the tundra solutions. I plan on letting the dealer have my truck for a week while im on vacation. 1 week should be enough time to get the parts and fix it. As long as the part is not on back order. here is the PDF file of the TSB http://markass.com/hosting/Exhaust_TSB.pdf

Man,
I thought I was going crazy listening to my truck! I bought an 06 access cab 2WD Prerunner. One and a half weeks later, I bring my '86 4Runner 4X4 in for service and the 4runner blows a heater hose! Well, now I need a ride home. While I wait, I see the cherry red, full 4 door, 4X4 tacoma I really wanted. Well, needless to say, the new 4X4 I just bought has 500 miles on it and I start hearing this ticking noise. Now I know what it is and how to fix it..Thanks guys!

Some customers may experience a ticking or tapping-type noise from the engine area at 2000-2500 rpm during acceleration that is most noticeable after a cold soak. New exhaust manifolds have been developed to minimize this condition Im experiencing this with my '04 2.7L engine. It goes away about a minute after startup when sitting in the cold weather. It sounds like the timing chain death rattle/valve pinging noise. I have a "Toyota certified" used truck with 10k till the extended warranty runs out. Should I have this looked at or is it normal? It doesnt happen when kept in a fairly warm garage overnight so Im assuming its a thickened oil condition. Im running 5W-30 as specified.

You might have an exhaust leak; I understand this is common with the 2.7. Keep in mind the TSB is for the 4.0. Exhaust leaks can amplify engine noise.
If you are still having some fairly cold days, pop the hood before you start it and look for light steam once started, much like your breath while outside in the cold. That's a quick way to find an exhaust leak while it's cold out.
Mine does some ticking on startup, 5W30, outside, but is plugged in; hence starting with warmed oil.
The only other thing I can think of is to inspect your valve clearances. IIRC while reading, this engine is shimmed, not adjustable like the 22Rx's.
