There's quite a few diesels posting now, and many are from Canada/US, so I thought it prudent for us to start compiling our 4D56 parts crossref's in one thread, to help each other, and any newbies that come along.
Here are a few guidelines, to keep the thread from getting cluttered and thus less useful:
-Try to refrain from chat/conversation in this thread - if you need to comment, make a separate post. -If someone has already posted with a part number, and you have another number to add for the same part, PM me, and I'll edit/add it to their post (since your edit priveleges on your own thread expires after a short time). This will keep the part types together. -Don't post your cross-ref number unless you have either used it, or have it on reliable info, i.e. Mitsubishi's CAPS program, etc (like the some of you, I've compiled literally HUNDREDS of part numbers, but I won't post any till I buy/try em first) -Try to include the retailer where the part is available, if applicable. -Turn OFF your signature PLEASE (just for this thread only)
The format we will use is:
Part name:
Part Brand and Number (retailers name)
I'll start in the next post below.

For converting a JDM Gen2 LWB Pajero to DOT spec Gen2 Montero headlights:
Headlights Mitsubishi part #s: MB623253 and MB623254
**Note Pajero is H4(9003) bulb and Montero is 9004. Grab a 9004 socket (and bulbs) to splice in place of the H4 one. Also order bulb retainer ring (Mitsubishi part# MB623229) and rubber cover (Mitsubishi part# MB683963) if ordering new parts. Used parts may come with these already. You may be able to modify the Pajero rubber cover to fit, but you risk water getting into your expensive headlights!
Front Signals Mitsubishi part #s: MB677763 and MB677764
These are amber colored single bulb signals and you will lose the Pajero's cornering lamps.
1991 Mitsubishi Pajero XP TD LWB family hauler.

Front brake pads for a 91 Pajero
NAPA AE7241M
although the part number is for metalic pads it will be easy for a shop to cross reference off this number. I changed the rear pads about 6 months ago and just used the spec pads for a 92 montero.
Cheers

Rotor Part #'s NAPA 4885926 if equiped with single piston calipers 4886687 early GenII with dual piston calipers 4886690 later GenII no dimensional difference, other than discard specification (minimum thickness) May have something to do with ABS availability, not sure.
Caliper Part #'s NAPA 14263069 L single piston 14263070 R " " 14264009 L dual piston 14264010 R " " These 2 #'s are also a good brake upgrade if you have the single piston's up front. They come with the brackets to direct swap, as well as the pads.
Recommended Tranny fluid is 3 diamond from the Stealer, however, I've used Valvoline Max-Life ATF with no issues. Let me know if any more #'s are needed, I'm bored at work today *YAWN*

Hope it helps
BTW, these #'s are for 92 US-spec Montero's, which will be the same on ya'll's 91+ Pajero's

In order to keep this particular thread as useful and uncluttered as possible, I would urge all to re-read the guidelines at the top, re-referenced here: -Try to refrain from chat/conversation in this thread - if you need to comment, make a separate post. Mitsubishi's CAPS program, etc -Try to include the retailer where the part is available, if applicable. -Turn OFF your signature PLEASE (just for this thread only)
signature is on by default: please turn it off in this thread
The format we will use is:
Part name:
Part Brand and Number (retailers name) If everyone doesn't follow this, the thread will eventually get mired down in offshoots and questions, when the idea of it is to keep it short and simple, so if you're looking for something, you can find it quickly. If you're looking for a number that's not here, post it as a separate question. Once you find it, and try it, post your numbers on this thread, so others can benefit. Thanks Phil
