My Mk1 Pajero (gen1) finally came to the end of it's useable life with too many repairs required ![[Linked Image]](http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee181/redneckl400-2/CopyofDSCN0991.jpg) so i bought a Mk2 Pajero (gen2 in the states, i think ) This is how I bought it standard ![[Linked Image]](http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg258/Westcountrymudpluggers/Mitsiphotos002.jpg) and this is it now, with snorkel, winch, 2" body lift and 2" suspension lift, 31" M/T's ![[Linked Image]](http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg258/Westcountrymudpluggers/DSCN0270.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg258/Westcountrymudpluggers/FSCN0274.jpg)

Great looking trucks. Good to see pics of the homeland They are Pajeros and not Shoguns?

Yep they're Pajero's, the japanese version all imports, not the shogun that was sold here by mitsubishi. The Pajeros are generally speaking better equipped for the same money and more importantly rust free because they haven't been exposed to our bad weather. This is my wifes soft top Pajero, due to be traded in for a euro hatch that'll do 60MPG (have you seen how much fuel costs in England ) ![[Linked Image]](http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg258/Westcountrymudpluggers/DSCN0231.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg258/Westcountrymudpluggers/DSCN0243.jpg)

Awesome. A lot of people here will be drooling over that softtop Paj
Fuel in the UK? Yeah, my mother stayed with us for a couple of weeks. We worked out that it's the equivalent to $12 a gallon Having said that we drive a total of 40 miles a year in two cars which seems normal and you wouldn't beleive how hard it is to buy a car here that does 35+mpg. I still like it here though My mother runs a Range Rover in the UK on LPG but it seems the subsidy on that is fading away.

You tested the snorkel yet? Nice discrete winch mount but is the fairlead still the same shape? I would have bent that in no time down there! Dynema (is that how you spell it?) and a low profile hawse fairlead would get round it.

Dynema (is that how you spell it?) and a low profile hawse fairlead would get round it. Thanks Matski. The snorkel is untested at the moment but the winch mount has certainly been tested, 4 hours of winching to get myself and another Paj out of a sticky situation and it's still in good shape. A dyneema rope (or similar) is on my wants list but it's all I can do at the moment to find money to fuel the thing

I accidently climbed up the wheels of our car hauler while trying to back off of a little dirt hill. City wheeling at its finest. Smith grind! ![[Linked Image]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/cmontymonty/P1010022.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/cmontymonty/P1010021.jpg) Me in the green shorts spotting my exit. ![[Linked Image]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/cmontymonty/P1010020.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/cmontymonty/P1010024.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/cmontymonty/P1010025.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h194/cmontymonty/P1010023.jpg) It was real tippy when I was on the top of the wheel well. but at no point was I stuck. My nephew and his friends were entertained while taking a break from wrenching.
