Today I had to put my sporty in 4WD as we just got almost 12 inches of snow yesterday, and I noticed that when I turn my sporty acts like it wants to stall, more like its jerking. I've never noticed it in 2WD.
Any suggestions where to look?

Might have developed a vacume leak if you're still using vacume hubs. Getting intermitet vacume would cause the motor to hesitate and the hubs to lock and unlock, giving the jerking. If you have other hubs, check for dirt and corrosion inside, they may need a wd40 soaking to keep locked in place. Good luck.

Yep.. I still have the junk vac ones. I was hoping to change them out before I moved but never got the chance. Looks like thats what I'll be doing now.

Bet thats the culprit, try just blocking the line after the switch (under hood, on firewall, just below drivers wiper)and see if the loss of power goes away (4wd will too). U can replace the lines, but I would get the real hubs. There is something reassuring about turning to "lock", and knowing it's gonna work! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

In 4wd with the hubs locked you will notice drive-line bucking when you turn the wheel, this is normal because you have four wheels traveling different speeds when you are in a turn and the front an rear axles are connected without a center differental. This is normal and one of the reasons you don't use 4wd on dry pavement.
