one of my skyjacker sway bar quick disconnects broke so i ordered a pair of the pro comp ones, well the bolt that goes into the lower axle mount is a tiny bit bigger then the one the one that came out, it says nothing in the directions about having to drill this hole bigger, and i shot procomp an email a couple days ago that they have yet responed to, should i drill this hole bigger or what?

I think I would SPEAK with them guys before altering my ride..
Bolts don't come in "tiny bits" Either you have a bolt that is one or more sizes larger are you have a bolt that is imperfectly threaded!
Drilling out an existing hole with a standard hand held bit is hard to do. the hole starts out round and ends up egg-shaped and the new bolt won't like the shape of the hole..

bigjim i belive the bolt is either a 7/16 or 1/2, and its like the hole was drilled for a metric bolt

i dont think they'll take it back i already have most of it put together, its the last step in the instructions so everything else is on except that bolt

nevermind i got it, i sanded out the inside of the hole some and then i heated it up and then placed the bolt on there and hit it though, worked great, i think the reason why i thought the old holes were smaller is because one of the previous owners sprayed some gel type paint on the underneath of the jeep so after cleaning them and heating them up a bit it when right though

Get yourself a set of Easy Outs and the matching drill bits for metal use. Should come out relatively easy.

Boy, don't you just love the quality hardware and fasteners that Chrysler uses. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />
