Just love work those guys at Arctic trucks can do. Doesn't it look nice on 35x12.5R17 Dick Cepek Radial F-CII ![[Linked Image]](http://i033.radikal.ru/0711/7f/08f209c58c74.jpg) Sorry for reviving an old thread but I am thinking really hard about getting a 2003-2006 Montero and adding a 2" OME suspension lift and a 2" body lift in an attempt to stuff some 35" tires on a Gen III. I am curious about the flares on the Arctic Truck vehicle shown above. Does anyone no where I can source these fenders flares or some flares that are similar? I know Jaos makes some flares for the 2001-2002 Monteros but I would really like to get a newer model Montero with the bigger 3.8L engine. Again, sorry for bringing up an old thread.

I emailed them a while back...like a year or two ago looking to source them and they werent keen on shipping them and I am assuming if they did it would have been quite expensive. would be cheaper I am sure if you took it to a bodyshop and the pic and had them fab some up locally.

I have a source for them but last i checked they were 2 grand plus shipping and the Russian dude knows us Americans have disposable incomes so he's gonna make it really worth his time to ship. I think your money would be better spent elsewhere like the actual lift kit from Japan. Just buy the 6" lift kit and put on 35's if you've got the money (the lift kit is about 3k).
If you want i can E-mail Sato and have him write you up a quote on the lift kit, I'll even let him know that you want to help them recover from the quake with a link to your post on Pirate4x4.

The other option is to source the 2001-2002 flares from Jaos and then get some matching molding from 2001-2002 and then bolt it onto a 2003+ model year. I could probably get this done for much cheaper, but I really like the look of the Arctic Truck. I have seen this 6" lift from Japan, But it says it's for Right Hand Drive only. Is this the lift you're talking about? Japanese 6" lift

Si, You'll have to "process" the kit to make it work. here's a better link Champs

If you really want to go through the trouble and work wouldn't a SAS be a better option?

If you really want to go through the trouble and work wouldn't a SAS be a better option? An SAS is not a really a better option for my needs. I would like to build a new overlanding/expedition vehicle with a new RTT. While it would be put through mild to moderate offoading, I am thinking a Gen III with an LSD will be more than adequate. I have the 1985 Mitsubishi Pickup for the serious stuff. I am just looking to replace/upgrade to a newer Montero and a newer roof top tent for the family. Here is a pic of the current setup. It's a 1991 Montero LS with a first gen Mombassa tent. The tent sleeps 4-5 very comfortably. ![[Linked Image]](http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6189/6118694312_2f399ec44b_z.jpg)

you probably don't need 35's in that case, just slap on a set of 33's and call it a day.

... rear is stronger on Gen 3/4. Gen II 3.0L or 3.5L? I'm not 100% sure but I would think the 3.5L rear axles are bigger than the 3.0L axles since the rear R&P's are also bigger in the 3.5L.
