So true: Hopefully the next cattle call flying in this month will have a couple of the neighborhood kids on it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

The WWII War Memorial, Ft Boniface, Manila, PI. On the slabs you see in the hemicycles, are the names of our fallen service members, and those of the Phillipine Scouts. My uncle is among them, never found; our MIA's of the Pacific Theatre. ![[Linked Image]](http://home.4x4wire.com/randii/philippines/new/P3110029.JPG)

To my grandfather Roman, whose war wounds went deeper than his two purple hearts and caught up with him before I had the chance to meet him.

My father was in the US Army in World War II. My father-in-law was in the Navy in World War II. My son was in the Army and was in Korea for 18 months. He is now in the Tennessee National Guard, and was in Iraq for a year. My son-in-law is a discharged Marine (once one, always one). My wife has a nephew who is ex-Navy, and another who is ex-Army. I was in the US Air Force for eight years and the Alabama Air National Guard for sixteen years. I have a first cousin who is married to a man who was one of the last POW's released by the North Koreans.
Understand?
Paw-paw Don, y'all .
