little more today .... started re-sizing the other side ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/020.jpg) so got it done ... this pic gives you an idea about the size i'm going for ... ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/021.jpg) and cut the tub , but didnt want to cut to much out in "one shot" .. so this way I can glass it back up and regain some rigidity ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/022.jpg) and a "test" fit ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/023.jpg) also .. started on the backs of the seats .. removed the covers and foam ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/024.jpg) and readied them for cutting .The backs are a different cut pattern , as they have the headrests .. I will still need to remove the headrest supports , and re weld them in the correct position . ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/025.jpg) .

got the seat backs mocked up .. and i'm stoked .. lines are perfect . I'm hoping to have them work like the 4runner , with the bottoms lifting up , and the backs folding down .. so far so good . ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/032.jpg) also got some work on done on the fenders repaired all of the cracks and lower lip + the holes previous owners have put in .. also got the new taillamp pockets in ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/033.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/034.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/035.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/036.jpg) .

Wait - so this thing dosn't have a flip-down tailgate? Seems that would be annoying to get things in/out.

If you ever sell this thing... i think i'll have to buy it... I will sell it ... but not cheep 10's of thousands ... Wait - so this thing dosn't have a flip-down tailgate? Seems that would be annoying to get things in/out. actually , it's not so bad , as you can walk right up to the back of it and get stuff out , and not have to wory about reaching over a tailgate .. it really nice actually .. But i'm going to be building a small tailgate anyway , because I want to also make the roof removable like the 4Runners .. so I want to have something to continue the body line . .

so .. postin the good with the bad !! (ugly pics) continueing on , and almost done with the cutting ... removed the wheel well and relocated it 2" up and removed 1" from the rear , and moved it forward , which will do 3 things .. 1. remove that .. n ... hump in the middle of the wheel well (stock seat ketch bracket) 2. create an armrest for the rear passengers instead of the stock 2" arm rest pad 3. allow a 84-89 4Runner roll bar to fit ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/039.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/040.jpg) .

lots of grinding and sanding , gettin close to a finished piece . wheel wells are now basically finished , little bit more to do . added/replaced the steel hatch support pieces , and glassed the old roll bar supports ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/041-1.jpg) also braced the floor as it looked like a washboard !! layed down a 24oz layer of woven roving , and then topped it off with a layer of 1.5oz mat .. floor should be flat again ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/042.jpg) .
