Need a Spot
For those of you wanting or needing to switch to the manual locking hubs don't be scared.

I have a 99 that had the vacuum activated hubs. In the matter of 10 minutes I was able to get my tools and have them swapped over.

The instructions were to skip straight to step 10. Step 10 in just installing the hubs. Obviously you have to uninstall the old ones.

Ok so
step 1 pop hub caps off
step 2 remove the 6 bolts holding the hubs on
step 3 pull old hubs off
step 4 slide new hubs on and align the 6 holes
step 5 install the 6 bolts torque to 25lbs or at least close
step 6 pop hood
step 7 unplug the white plug in front of master cylinder attached to vacuum canister.

step 8 Have fun your done.

Its literally that easy. so dont be afraid to do the swap.

if you can operate a ratchet, even if its your first time using a ratchet, you can do the manual hub swap. nothing to it

I cut the center of the hub caps out with a Dremel. You're either going to have to do that to access the locking hubs or run without hub caps.

2001 Sportage, TJ 106's, Everet spacers and bumpstops, Bilstein shocks on the rear, cone filter, Crager wheels, 235-75-15 Goodyear tires. Custom front winch bumper by Dave Scott. Currently DOA, but it is a work in progress.
