Well, I just put 104s on the rear of my '98, and tried the Ironman "extended" shocks, but they werent any longer than the stock ones. I would definately say use the rav 4 shocks instead, as these don't allow for any real flex.

just curious, how does a 2" spacer give you 3.25" lift...is this a hard upgrade, ive never done a lift but otherwise pretty mechanically inclined....any other mod recomendations...have a 95 dohc 4dr manual w/warn manual locks, elec fan w/bypass and came w/ some sort of turbo exhaust but still has the cat, 30-9.5 coopers w/stock rims for now...how much for the front spacers and what year tj for the rear upgrade...i work for a federated parts store so i get pretty good prices on new parts or know quite a few people that mess w/ jeeps can probably get some used stuff pretty decent priced

Doesn't matter the year, what matters is the tag on the springs. 104AA's will give you 3" of lift. 106AA's will give you 4" of lift. If they don't have tags, then you will need to remove them and measure them for height (12") and spring rate (250 lbs/in for the 106AA's don't remember what the 104AA's are). As far as spacers for the front go, I'll pm you with pricing. I don't know where you came up with the number 2" = 3.5" of lift. That isn't the formula, however, think of a teeter totter. The closer you are to the fulcrum, the shorter the travel. found some used rear coils online...no tags...does anybody know if they should be out of a 2.5l, 4.0l, or a rubicon for a 3" lift on the rear? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I am interested in a BODY lift on my car, in other words, leave the suspension alone! Has anybody done it and how does one go about it?

Check out this link: BODY LIFT This has a pretty good discussion on how they work. If you need some I will work up a quote. Everet <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Hello To All! Just joined after reading this whole post. I am doing the 3" lift I have decided. Only thing is I am not sure what to get for the front. The rear was explained in a few different replies, and only a couple about spacers for the front?...Is this correct?

Everet Makes the front spacers, go to (upyourkia.com). Dave Scott does an all spring lift. The Pro's and con's of both. Spacers pro's, inexpensive, strong, easy to install and quick transaction. Cons, limits front wheel travel. I have ran the spacers for over 100,000 miles with no problems at all. Spring Pro's, better wheel travel, firmer ride. Con's, Price is much higher, a little more work to install and takes more tome to get them.
Hope this helps, Dennis
