Mudrunner
I have (2) and just ordered (3) Rock Crawler Series 98 Black Monster Mod Wheels from ProComp
Part Number: PCW98-5885R2.5
15x8, 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern
Backspace = 2.5 in.
Max Load = 1600 lbs
Finish = Black Powder Coat
[Linked Image]
I haven't ordered tires yet but trying to stay as close to 29" in overall Diameter, But under 30". My sporty also has 3" UPYOURKIA lift and the factory wheelwell triming and stupid mud guards. I also understand that I will have to trim the front bumper alot.

Question: Do you think I'll be able to turn these wheels in the front wheelwell?

I'm starting to get really worried that I have too little backspace. Especially after viewing that pretty blue truck in the post above. Damn I like the way that truck sits.

2002 4dr Kia Sportage 4X4

With backspace of 2.5 and a nice set of 235/75/15 should set you up near 28 VS . with a 15x6 ........ And with ur UPURKIA lift you should do really well!

Nice rims....Now if I can only get rid of my 15x8 "scooby Doo" Van rims! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

onlinetires.com seems to have awesome prices on tires, that and tirerack.com. Good luck. I also have the stupid factory mudguards/body kit on mine, can't decide to go 30" or 31".

Bandit, That sporty is a muddin beast. love the Swampers too. I like the style of the rims I chose, I went with 4wheelparts.com as they charged me less for shipping to Fairbanks Alaska.

Scottc, I hate that stupid body kit. The wife dosen't want it removed? I don't understand the logic, so I have to trim carefully in attempt to remain stock looking she says.
with the new rims she will be in for a suprise. HaHaHa...

Yeah, The Kia is my wife's car too. We just had a baby, so she now gets to drive my Volvo, and I inherited the Sporty. I thought about removing the body kit, but figured I would end up with a bunch of holes to patch.

Body Damage is Cool
If you go with 30x9.50x15 you will notice that they are only about 29 inches tall and will your lift you will have plenty of room. What ever you get make sure they have a LT rating, Off road is no place for a P rated tire.
